The Female Convicts Research Centre (FCRC) is conducting an interesting Seminar at the Hobart Town Hall entitled "The Hobart Town Female Factory and the move to the Cascades, 1828". The program also includes the Convict Women’s Press launch of their new book, “Convict Lives At The Cascade Female Factory” by Her Excellency, Professor the Honourable Kate Warner AC, Governor of Tasmania. The book has individual stories of women at the factories and our member Diane Davis is the author of one of the stories in this book. The books will be available for purchase on the day.
